Over the last week:
Maths: Yr 5 have been continuing to learn about shape and geometry - Yr 6 have been revising previous work in preparation for SATs next week.
English: Both year groups have been practicing grammar and answering VIPERS questions about a text. Yr 6 have been doing short writing to practice dialogue and year 5 have been writing a diary.
Science: We have have investigated how friction can affect a moving object!
R.E: We have been investigating the scientific and faith explanations for creation.
Music: We have continued practising for the junior music festival.
History: We have looked at how religion was important in the everyday life of the Ancient Greeks.
PE: We have practised passing the baton in relay and our jumping techniques.
French: We have identified vocabulary for the weather and revised days of the week.
DT: We are creating a self portrait using the photo montage method.

SATs week is finally here! Given that our Year 6 children will be facing their end of KS2 tests next week, it has been decided that our homework this weekend is to enjoy the sunshine while it lasts. (Make sure you remember to use sunscreen!)
