In 2023 our end of year percentage of children that achieved a "Good Level of Development" (GLD) was 80%.

The phonics screening check is designed to confirm whether pupils have learnt phonic decoding (which helps them to read and write) to an appropriate standard. It will identify pupils who need extra help to improve their decoding skills.
The check contains a mixture of real and "pseudo" words that a pupil reads aloud to a teacher.
In 2023, 75% of our pupils met the expected standard in the Key Stage 1 Screening Check.
