Monday: I am out of class until 11:30am for PPA, Mrs Harrison will be covering. 

Wednesday:  I am out of class until 11:30am for SENCo time, Mrs Harrison will be covering. 

Thursday: I am out of class 10am-11am for a meeting, a supply will be covering. 

Friday: Non-school uniform day.

 

 

Homework: Due on Thursday 23rd October

Read at least 4 times a week. 

Spelling Shed: Y4- Challenge words. Y5- Words ending in -cial.

TT Rockstars: battle with Eagle Class! If you use TTRockstars at least 4 times this week, you will get 4 dojo points!

During Autumn One, we will be learning:

  • Maths - we will be focusing on place value and addition and subtraction.
  • English - we will be looking at the story 'The Atlantic Storm.' We will be learning the story through actions before drawing a story map and then creating our own adventure narratives.
  • Science - Our topic is "digestion and food". We will be exploring the function of the human digestive system before identifying the types of human and animal teeth and their jobs. 
  • Art - We will be focusing on craft and design, exploring techniques to develop imagery and will use a textile technique to develop patterns. 
  • Geography - Our topic is "The Americas". We will be using the eight points of the compass to locate cities in the continent of North America as well as research some countries and cities in North and South America.
  • Computing - We will be exploring the internet; describing how networks physically connect to other networks and how content is uploaded and shared on the World Wide Web. 
  • PSHE - Our topic is "Families and Relationships". We will be understanding that manners vary in different situations and exploring boundaries in friendships.
  • RE - We will be exploring the questions "What do we mean by truth? Is seeing believing?"
  • Music - We will explore interesting time signatures.
  • PE - Tennis and Yoga

PE Days - Tuesday and Wednesday. PE kits to be kept in school, no jewellery allowed and hair to be tied back.
